The field of High-resolution Spectroscopy has been considerably extended and even redefined in some areas. Combining the knowledge of spectroscopy, laser technology, chemical computation, and experiments, Handbook of High-resolution Spectroscopy provides a comprehensive survey of the whole field as it presents itself today, with emphasis on the recent developments. Diesel engines gas emissions monitored by photoacoustic spectroscopy Review of Scientific A. Romann, and M. Seiter, Laser Spectroscopic Sensinig of Air Pollutants, 13th Symposium and School on High-Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy [Proc Proceedings of the International Symposium, Freiburg/Germany, 17–18 October,

The 3ν 2 overtone band of deuterium oxide, D 2 O, centered at cm −1, has been measured with high resolution in a 4-m base-length White cell attached to a Fourier transform spectrometer. The analysis of the spectrum led to the assignment of transitions in this band, defining rovibrational energy levels in the () state up to K.   Eight emission spectra of CO 2 + N 2 mixtures excited by dc discharge were recorded using a Fourier Transform Spectrometer (Bruker Spectrometer HR) with a resolution of cm −1 in the μm region. Results (wavenumbers, band centers, spectroscopic constants) concerning 13 new vibrational transitions which have not been observed earlier and which occur between highly excited .

A high resolution and high sensitivity spectroscopic technique is developed by utilizing a Bruker IFS HR Fourier-transform spectrometer to detect the absorption spectra of samples inside a Ti:Sapphire laser cavity. A trigger-sampling system makes it possible to investigate the evolution of intra-cavity laser absorption spectra with the generation time.   From spectra recorded at a resolution of cm−1of the flame CH4+ O2at low pressure, six new vibrational transitions in Δv3= 1 with 2v1+v2= 5 had b.
